The new Xbox 360 “Slim” model continued to make its presence felt in the month of July, a month after its release, as it propelled sales of the system into first place, surpassing even the Nintendo DS, for the first time since September 2007 (during the launch of Halo 3).

System Sales
PlayStation 3 214,500
PSP 84,000
Xbox 360 443,500
Wii 253,900
Nintendo DS 398,400

Both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 saw a significant rise from their July 2009 sales, while the Xbox Live 1600 point card remained the best-selling accessory item for the fifth month in a row.
