Xbox One will come with a native 64-bit architecture, Microsoft announced at their Xbox reveal this morning. The system will have “three operating systems in one”.

One will be the native Xbox OS, which allows game developers to create games for the system. The second will be the Kernel of Windows, which will allow for web-powered applications. The third will connect the two operating systems and allow for multi-tasking and instant switching between various applications.

Microsoft also mentioned that the Xbox One will have 8GB of RAM and a Blu-Ray drive built in. The system will come with USB 3.0 ports and a 500GB hard drive.
