Yuji Naka’s next game is Family Fishing for the Wii, which lets you explore a fishing resort and catch fish. Xseed just announced that they’ve partnered with Namco Bandai to publish the game in North America.

The English version will be titled Fishing Resort, and is slated for release this fall. In Fishing Resort, you’re at a vacation resort that has different areas, such as sea areas where you can find tropical fish and icy mountain areas, where you can fish in ice. Actually, Xseed say you can fish wherever you find water.

In addition to exploring the resort and fishing, you can also customize your character, view fish in your aquarium, and compete in online leaderboards. There are over 200 customization items in the game.

You can find more information on Fishing Resort in this older post. This is the second game by Yuji Naka that Xseed are publishing, the first one being Ivy the Kiwi. Naka’s company, Prope, is also working on Rodea the Sky Soldier for the Wii and 3DS.
