Yakuza Restoration Adds Detective Date’s Voice Actor

Other than confirming Kazuma Kiryu will play the role of two samurai in Yakuza Restoration, Sega has not announced any other characters. We’re getting hints, though, like how Akira Nishikiyama’s voice actor is confirmed to play Okada Izo in the game. In the Yakuza series, Akira is an enemy of Kazuma and Okada was an assassin in Japanese history.

Sega also announced Kazuhiro Yamaji who usually plays Makoto Date will voice Nakaoka Shintaro. Date often helps Kazuma in the Yakuza games by breaking him out of jail and becomes a close friend. In the history books, Nakaoka is a friend of Sakamoto Ryoma and that’s one of the characters Kazuma Kiryu represents. Also, pro wrestler Yoshiaki Fujiwara will play a mysterious informant.
