The official Youtube channel for Shenmue III released a new video earlier this week that interviews director Yu Suzuki regarding how Ryo getting stronger drives the progress of the story, alongside more combat gameplay.
One of the themes of Shenmue III is Ryo continuing his training in the Hazuki style of jujutsu, and so he’ll have to build up his skills and stats, and learn new techniques by first buying the appropriate technique manual. The Dojo also provides a handy way for Ryo to train easily, as well as practice his stances.
