Sony Computer Entertainment America is pulling the plug on the White Knight Chronicles servers for North America.

The most hardcore White Knight Chronicles II player has been found. A user amassed a whopping 8701 hours playing Level-5′s RPG.

Amazon’s Black Friday specials are live and White Knight Chronicles II is on sale right now for $37.99 alongside Final Fantasy XIII which goes for $14.99.

White Knight Chronicles II continues the rather typical “save the kingdom” story that began with the original White Knight Chronicles. It picks up shortly after first game (included in WKC II) left off.

The cut scenes in WKC1 have been restructured to the quality level of WKC II. We highly encourage players to try the remastered version of WKC1 with these enhanced battle system and graphics.

In White Knight Chronicles II, regular generals and commanders can spook players with a surprise Gigas transformation.

You don’t need to grind through White Knight Chronicles to get to White Knight Chronicles II either. Skip White Knight Chronicles and you’ll see a montage that summarizes the events in the game.

White Knight Chronicles II is already available in Europe and the North American version connects to the same servers. So, you can get started by playing with friendly PAL gamers, if you like.

“A sequel would usually be sold as a separate package that you could buy on its own and play without the original game if you wanted,” said Yoshiaki Kusuda, Director at Level-5.

Don’t worry, you won’t have to import White Knight Chronicles II from Europe. Level-5′s transforming RPG is coming to North America, but Sony Computer Entertainment America isn’t handling it.

Just like the Japanese release, White Knight Chronicles II includes a tweaked version of White Knight Chronicles with a revised combat system. You get two games one disc, but there was a catch.

Sony announced White Knight Chronicles II and White Knight Chronicles Origins (that’s the English name for White Knight Chronicles Episode.Portable: Dogma Wars) are en route to Europe.

Daniel Taylor who voices Leonard, the main character in White Knight Chronicles, has White Knight Chronicles 2 on his resume.
