Yo-kai Watch 2: Headliner Pre-Orders Start Out Strong

Recommended Videos

Between its “Head” and “Founder” versions, Yo-kai Watch 2 is well on its way to selling 3 million copies in Japan over the next few months. Instead of letting it enjoy a long tail, Level 5 are releasing a third version of the game, titled Yo-kai Watch 2: Headliner.

Japanese sales tracker Media Create says that Yo-kai Watch 2: Headliner began accepting pre-orders two weeks ago, and saw pre-orders of 231,000 copies. Eight weeks prior to its release, Headliner’s pre-orders were approximately the same as those of the Head and Founder versions eight weeks prior to their own releases (450,000 copies across both).

Since pre-orders for Yo-kai Watch 2: Headliner kicked off later than those for Head and Founder, Media Create say the number of pre-orders for the game is sound so far.
