A new Pokemon Pokopia event was teased during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct and now we know it involves the Mythical character Jirachi. Everything kicks off on June 23, 2026, then runs until July 8, 2026. This will be another collection-type event, so it will be tied to Dream Island visits and Pokemon Center purchases.

Here’s how things will work. Like the Hoppip and Sableye situations, we’ll see Jirachi appear at regions’ Pokemon Centers in Pokemon Pokopia during the event. When we talk to the character, they will request Shining Wish Notes. Those will be found on Dream Islands, just like the quest items for the other two characters. After collecting them, you can trade those for different pieces of furniture. It looks like this is a bedroom set, with a bed, wardrobe, table, vanity, clock, wall art, lamp, rug, telescope, and canon that all feature a starry theme.

Here are the first screenshots Nintendo shared.

This should work like past events. That means that, once it ends, we can move Jirachi in to our offline games. If you collected the right items, took photos of them, and use a Pokemon Center 3D printer, we will likely be able to recreate a Jirachi habitat too to move the character into Cloud Islands like we could with Hoppip, Jumpluff, Skiploom, and Sableye.

Pokemon Pokopia is available for the Switch 2 and Jirachi will be in-game via an event between June 23, 2026 and July 8, 2026.
