Ahead of an official Square Enix announcement, Hobby Genki revealed a listing for an Axel Kingdom Hearts 2 Form-ism figure. It will apparently launch by December 31, 2026. The retailer listed the official price as 11,000 yen (~$69), but is selling it for 9,570 yen (~$60). Past characters in the line include Sora and Roxas. As the already announced Form-ism ACT Sora is set for a January 30, 2027 launch, it’s possible this could show up later and that release date is a placeholder.

As this figure is based on the earliest appearances of Axel in Kingdom Hearts 2, it features his Organization XIII costume and weapon. So he’s wearing the long black coat and wielding his dual chakram. That also means a red icon from the group’s logo is also on the base. It will be a static statue with no extra parts.

Here are some of the earliest photos of the latest Formism figure. It will apparently be almost seven and a half inches tall (190mm).

This is the fifth Kingdom Hearts Form-ism figure and the fourth from the second game. The first was of Sora, and that one actually got a rerelease. That was followed by Riku and Roxas ones. One of Sora based on his Kingdom Hearts 3 appearance is also in the works.

We will apparently see the Axel Kingdom Hearts 2 Form-ism figure before 2026 ends. The original game debuted on the PS2, then later showed up on the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and PC via the HD 2.5 Remix collection. That version will appear on the Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X on October 8, 2026. A cloud-based version of the first game was also available on the Switch, but was delisted.
