Last week was slow in terms of new videogame releases in Japan. The only two releases during the week that were somewhat significant were updated ports of older games.
Bandai Namco released an updated version of One Piece Unlimited World: Red for PS3, Vita and Wii U, and all three versions sold a combined total of 32,583 copies. Not exactly a figure to write home about, but keep in mind that this is an updated version of a game that was already released on the Nintendo 3DS a few months ago, and the 3DS version received the new content as free DLC last week.
The other new release for the week was The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Blue Evolution, an enhanced port of the PSP game for PlayStation Vita. That sold 19,659 copies.
The next couple of weeks should be a little more interesting. Next week will see the release of Pokémon Art Academy for the Nintendo 3DS, and the week after that will see the release of Freedom Wars for PS Vita.
