Warner Bros. are producing a new live-action digital series that will tie in with the upcoming Mortal Kombat X videogame, the publisher announced today.

The new series is in production at Blue Ribbon Content, which is a newly-created division of WB, responsible for producing digital content. Warner said that the new series will feature both well-known Mortal Kombat characters, as well as “a new generation of fighters”.

The new Mortal Kombat show doesn’t have a name yet. It’s the second piece of non-game media that will be associated with Mortal Kombat X, the other being a new comic book series published by DC.

Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14th, 2015 for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
