Kingdom Hearts III DLC Screenshots Show Off Final Fantasy Characters and Other Familiar Faces

Now that the Kingdom Hearts III ReMIND DLC release date has been officially announced and the trailer shared, more information on the upcoming add-on has showed up. Namely, Square Enix has shared new art and screenshots looking at a number of different characters who will be appearing and fighting in the DLC. Some of the most notable inclusions in all of these images, however, are the Kingdom Hearts III DLC Final Fantasy characters.

While people like Auron and Cloud only appeared briefly as statues in Kingdom Hearts III proper, the Kingdom Hearts III DLC Final Fantasy representation is far improved. Within the first few seconds of the trailer, we saw Aerith, Squall (who goes by the name Leon here), and Yuffie. This was in addition to other original characters like Aqua, Kairi, Lea, and Roxas. Now, we have a better look at all of them.

Check all of the people out in the gallery below.

What is especially notable about this collection of new art and images is that it shows off some of the Kingdom Hearts III DLC Final Fantasy characters that weren’t confirmed in the trailer. Namely, Cid will be returning. The Final Fantasy VII version of Cid first showed up in the original Kingdom Hearts and has since appeared as a staple in the Radiant Garden or Twilight Town worlds. While there is no screenshot showing him interacting with other characters, he does have official art.

Kingdom Hearts III is available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and a demo is available. The ReMIND DLC will appear on the PlayStation 4 on January 23, 2020 and the Xbox One on February 25, 2020.
