The Game Gear Micro systems come in four colors with their own set of playable games. Today, we got a look at the Game Gear Micro Red that features a couple of Megami Tensei Gaiden games, The G.G. Shinobi, and Columns.
The Game Gear Micro Red comes with two RPGs, a side-scrolling action game, and a match-three puzzle game.

Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible
First up is the 1992 RPG Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible, which released in the West as Revelations: The Demon Slayer. The game features a protagonist named El who can befriend demons. It also has the monster fusing system known from the Shin Megami Tensei series. The game was essentially the Dragon Quest Monsters before Dragon Quest Monsters in many ways.
Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible Special
Following is another Megami Tensei title in Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible Special. It is the fifth entry in the Last Bible series that released in Japan in March 1995. The hero Mahtel must go on an adventure and recruit party members to defeat the Demon King, Graias, who captured the holy city of Jerusalem. The game features a first-person perspective with 3D dungeons.
The G.G. Shinobi
Next, we have a side-scrolling action game The G.G. Shinobi, which was also the very first Shinobi game developed for a handheld. Protagonist Joe Musashi must save his fellow ninja disciples to help destroy the City of Fear. New abilities unlock as you rescue each ninja, allowing you to use them to clear stages.
Columns
Lastly, we have the 1989 match-three puzzle game Columns. The game features two modes in Original and Flash Columns. In Original Mode, the objective is to simply match three jewels that fall from the top of the screen to make them disappear. In Flash Columns, you work your way through a set number of lines to reach a flashing jewel at the bottom.
The Game Gear Micro Red will launch alongside the Blue, Black, and Yellow models in Japan on October 6, 2020. You can check out more on the mini-handheld system in our previous report.
