Pokemon Home Pokemon GO Compatibility Coming in 2020

There’s good news for Pokemon Home. Pokemon GO support is on the way. During the Pokemon September 29, 2020 presentation, its addition was announced. There’s no launch date yet, but it will arrive before 2020 ends. When it happens, people have a chance to get Gigantamax Melmetal.

Getting the Gigantamax Melmetal won’t be too tricky. All someone will need to do is take a Pokemon GO creature and send it to Pokemon Home. You’ll then get the special version of Melmetal that can turn into its Gigantamax form in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

As a reminder, Meltan is quite connected to Pokemon GO. You had to transfer a character from there to Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Eevee! in order to get a Mystery Box and catch one. To get a Melmetal normally, you need to first get enough Meltans to earn 400 candies to evolve the character.

Here’s a trailer:

Pokemon Home is available on the Nintendo Switch and both Android and Apple iOS devices. While there is a paid element with more features, it is possible to use the free version to claim special rewards like the Gigantamax Melmetal. Pokemon GO is available on Android and Apple iOS devices. Pokemon Sword and Shield can be found on the Nintendo Switch.
