Marking the 25th year since the franchise last premiered on the big screen in Japan, the new film is a grand return with all Super versions of the Sailor Scouts included. Additionally, the movie will feature Pegasus, the Dead Moon Circus, and Queen Nehelenia. Based on the “Dream” arc of the series’ manga, the film will also serve as a direct continuation of the Sailor Moon Crystal anime series. Check out the Sailor Moon Eternal trailer for a glimpse at these classic villains we love.

Sailor Moon Eternal was supposed to debut in theaters back in September 2020. However, Toei delayed its release due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At that time, NHK also held a poll revealing Japan’s favorite Sailor Moon characters. Plus, new Sailor Moon jewelry is on the market, too, with chokers and earrings for each of your favorite scouts.

Sailor Moon Eternal part one will play in theaters from January 8, 2021. Part two will release on February 11, 2021.
