Blu-ray For Tales of Series Openings Will Release in December

Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a PV for the Theme Song of Tales – 25th Anniversary Opening Movie Collection Blu-ray. The Blu-ray will cost 7150 JPY (approximately $64.50) and will release on December 15, 2021. It has the opening songs from all of the mainline games. It does not include spin-offs like Narikiri Dungeon or Tales of Versus. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Bandai Namco first announced this Blu-ray, along with the Tales of Festival 2020 Blu-Ray, earlier this year. The Blu-ray will include both versions of the Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Innocence openings. Additionally, it will have the first openings for mobile games Tales of Link, Tales of Asteria, Tales of the Rays, and Tales of Crestoria.

The PV shows snippets from each opening, with brief excerpts from a few songs in the background. The featured songs are Yomi’s “Yume wa Owaranai” from Tales of Phantasia, “Bump of Chicken’s Karma” from Tales of the Abyss, and Ayumi Hamasaki’s “Progress” from Tales of Xillia. “HIBANA” by Kankaku Piero, which is the opening for the upcoming Tales of Arise game, is also on the Blu-ray. Tales of Arise will release on September 9, 2021 for Japan, and September 10, 2021 for the rest of the world.

As well, Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed the PV for the Tales of Festival 2020 Blu-ray. That Blu-ray will release on August 27, 2021 for 13200 JPY ($119). It shows off the Tales of Festival that happened on March 6 and 7 at Yokohama Arena.

The Tales of series opening collection Blu-ray, Theme Song of Tales – 25th Annivesrary Opening Movie Collection will release on December 15, 2021.
