The next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit Board event has been announced, and it is going to give people a chance to reunite with old friends and meet some new ones. It’s an Animal Crossing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate event. The official Twitter account revealed that from April 3-8, 2020, people will be able to have an easier time collecting existing Spirits and get four new ones based on new Special Characters added in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The four new Animal Crossing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirits are all people who service special functions in the game. Orville and Wilbur, who run Dodo Airlines, are paired up and act as one Spirit. Daisy Mae, Sow Joan’s granddaughter, is the new Stalk Market representative who shows up every Sunday morning. C.J. is a beaver who can show up on the island with fishing challenges. Flick is similar to C.J., only favoring bugs instead of fish.

In addition to the four new spirits, the Animal Crossing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit Board event image revealed some of the other spirits people will see throughout the event. Here’s the list. Since there will be 43 total Animal Crossing Spirits in the game after the addition of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons characters, this could only be a small selection of characters people will see.

  • Able Sisters
  • Don
  • Dr. Shrunk
  • Frillard
  • Gulliver
  • Kaitlin & Katie
  • Lloid
  • Lottie
  • Redd Rover
  • Serena
  • Zipper T. Bunny

This is the second Nintendo IP Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit Board event in a row. Earlier in March 2020, there was one involving Ring Fit Adventure Spirits.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are both immediately available for the Nintendo Switch. As a reminder, the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character will be a fighter from ARMS.
