Nintendo announced a new Pokemon Pokopia event focused on Applin that will also result in its evolutions Appleton, Dipplin, Flapple, and Hydrapple also appearing in the game. It will be called Apples to Applin, appropriately enough. This will run for two weeks in-game, starting on November 16, 2026.
Like many Pokemon Pokopia events, such as the Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist Halloween one, Apples to Applin will involve collecting items and trading them for different types of furniture and plants that can be used to create habitats for Appleton, Dipplin, Flapple, and Hydrapple. As the name suggests, they are apple and baking-based. We’ll need to collect Syrupy Apples from trees on Dream Islands, based on one of the initial screenshots. Those can be taken to a Pokemon Center. Applin will set up shop there during the event. It seems items like a bushel of apples, an apple pie, scale, bowl with beater, rack with kitchen utensils, and some sort of seeds for a plant will be available as items to purchase. Once you get these, you can arrange them into the new habitats.
Nintendo shared a number of initial screenshots showing what Applin, Appleton, Dipplin, Flapple, and Hydrapple will look like in the game and some teasers for the event items and Syrupy Apples.

This means the Apples to Applin event will tide us over in Pokemon Pokopia until the new Expansion Pass addition drops on December 9, 2026. Dazzling Decorations will add new Pokemon and accessories for characters to wear. It’s the second piece of DLC, with the third planned for 2027.
Pokemon Pokopia is available on the Switch 2 and will feature an Apples to Applin event that adds the grass and dragon-type character and its evolutions Appleton, Dipplin, Flapple, and Hydrapple between November 16, 2026 and December 9, 2026.
