Cocolia Echo of War Weekly Boss Might Feel Easy in Honkai: Star Rail

Maybe it’s just me, but for some reason the Cocolia, Mother of Deception weekly boss fight feels easier in Honkai: Star Rail than the Doomsday Beast. It can still be a challenge, mind you. Especially as you unlock higher difficulties as you boost your Trailblaze Level. But it doesn’t feel as devastating as it could on many difficulty levels when you visit the Honkai: Star Rail Echo of War: End of the Eternal Freeze fight.

How do you find Honkai: Star Rail Echo of War: End of the Eternal Freeze Cocolia weekly boss fight?

As with the Doomsday Beast, you first need to unlock the ability to take on Echoes of War fights. This happens after you finish the Jarilo-VI arc, basically. Getting through the “In the Dangerous Swamp” Trailblazer Mission and beating Cocolia for the first time will do it.

Once you do that, you’ll be able to find her at the very “end” of the Everwinter Hill Jarilo-VI map. I highlighted it in the screenshot below.

What kinds of characters should be brought in to face Cocolia in Honkai: Star Rail?

Cocolia is weak against Fire, Thunder, and Quantum attacks. Right ahead of this boss during the story, you get access to the Preservation path Fire-type Trailblazer, and they work perfectly for the fight.

Here are some characters you could consider:

  • Fire: Asta, Himeko, Hook, and Trailblazer
  • Thunder: Arlan, Bailu, Jing Yuan, Serval, and Tingyun
  • Quantum: Qinque and Seele

I sort of feel like the game basically sets this up as a Seele and Fire Trailblazer fight! So if you have both of them, they’re perfect for this weekly boss.

As for team compositions, you definitely want to have a Perservation-sort of character around who can put up shields for everyone. Trailblazer will have you covered there. If you’re lucky enough to have either Qinque or Seele, both work very well here! (Especially if you have a Bronya to support Seele!) Having a healer can be helpful, especially on higher difficulties, so Bailu or Natasha could be handy. Since everyone gets a free Serval, she can help you out too!

What do you get for beating the Echo of War: End of the Eternal Freeze Cocolia weekly boss in Honkai: Star Rail?

The big item is Guardian’s Lament. This is a Trace material you need for characters in Honkai: Star Rail. So if you use people like Bailu, Bronya, Clara, Gepard, Hook, Natasha, Seele, or Serval, you’ll need quite a few of those.

The Echoes of War also have the possibility of dropping Relics. Just like Doomsday Beast, Cocolia can drop Musketeer of Wild Wheat and Thief of Shooting Meteor ones. You’ll get Lucent Afterglow pieces to trade for Light Cones and Credits too.

She might also drop the following four-star Light Cones:

  • Fermata
  • Past and Future
  • Quid Pro Quo
  • River Flows in Spring
  • The Seriousness of Breakfast
  • We are Wildfire
  • Woof! Walk Time!

Honkai: Star Rail is available for PCs and mobile devices, and PS4 and PS5 versions are in development.
