Dan Will Join Street Fighter V in Season Pass V

The Street Fighter V Summer Update began with a new fighter announcement. Director Takayuki Nakayama and Producer Shuhei Matsumoto kicked things off by confirming Street Fighter V Dan DLC is on the way. He will be the first character in Season Pass 5 and arrive in Winter 2020 with four costumes. (Update: Rose, Oro, and Akira Kazama will all also be joining him.)

Dan will be bringing his signature Saikyo Style to Street Fighter V, and some in-development gameplay footage of him was very briefly shared. Nakayama said, “Dan is friends with Sakura and Blanka, who are already existing characters in SFV, so he’s a good fit for the universe.” Nakayama also teased, “Also, we hope you’re excited to see how Dan’s ‘taunt’ is going to function here.”

Matsumoto also commented on this Street Fighter V DLC announcement. He said, “I’m personally very excited about Dan being selected, because he’s so lovable and full of personality.”

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC. Dan will join the cast in Winter 2020, according to a roadmap released during the August 5, 2020 Street Fighter V, and be followed by four other new “friends.”
