The official Kimetsu no Yaiba website has a new event announcement for the “Demon Slayer Festival – Anime 2nd Anniversary Festival” in Japan. In this festival event, fans and creators will celebrate the anime’s second anniversary at the Makuhari Messe. The two-day event is set for February 13-14, 2021. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
There will be stage events relating to the Demon Slayer anime during the fest on both days. People attending the Demon Slayer Festival will also get to check out a special Demon Slayer anime exhibition as the assembly hall. The event organizers are working on making it a “memorial event,” which allows fans to experience Demon Slayer in various ways. Information about the stage program, ticket price, and more will be announced at a later date.
With Tokyo Game Show and Jump Festa going online this year, we didn’t see any sign of the upcoming PS4 Demon Slayer game, but perhaps we’ll hear something about it during the festival. It would also make for a good opportunity to announce a second season of the anime.
Demon Slayer: Hinokami Kepputan is a demon-slaying versus action game currently slated for release on the PlayStation 4 in 2021. CyberConnect 2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama recently talked about its development. The Demon Slayer manga began its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2016 and ended in May 2020. The film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Train premiered in Japan on October 16, 2020.
