The Kadokawa Fiscal Year Ended March 31, 2026 Earning Results are in and, since developer FromSoftware is a subsidiary of it, it means updates on the upcoming Switch 2 games The Duskbloods and Elden Ring Tarnished Edition. Both are still expected to release in 2026, according to multiple slides going over the forecast for the fiscal year 2026. (That ends in March 2027.) It also confirmed Spike Chunsoft releases like Danganronpa 2 x 2, which comes to the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC will be out in 2026 too.
Both The Duskbloods and Elden Ring Tarnished Edition first came up in the Full-year Forecast – Gaming Segment section that looks at the FY2026 forecast. Kadokawa noted it “expects” both games to show up in 2026 on the Switch 2. However, it doesn’t completely confirm it. This means it is possible the Elden Ring port could be delayed again, like it was out of 2025, or that the new exclusive could slip to 2027.
The Duskbloods also appeared in the general Gaming Segment section under “eagerly awaited upcoming titles” with Danganronpa 2 x 2. That reference also featured a “releasing worldwide in 2026” note below the game’s logo.
Both games also came up in the FAQs section of the investor report. Kadokawa noted there isn’t a “specific release date” for Elden Ring Tarnished Edition. The question asked if it would appear in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027. The responses to the The Duskbloods questions there also confirmed there’s no release date for the Switch 2 exclusive yet, Nintendo is a partner on it, and there’s no sales forecast to share.
Here are the official screenshots of all the references to both games in the Kadokawa Fiscal Year Ended March 31, 2026 Earning Results.
