Granblue Fantasy Versus Will Launch in Europe Before March Ends, But Its Premium Edition Won’t

Granblue Fantasy Versus comes to Europe and Australia this March.

You heard it here, Granblue Fantasy Versus has finally received a release date. Well, at least for the European region and Australia. It will officially launch in both regions on March 27, 2020. As for other areas, Granblue Fantasy Versus has surpassed over 150,000 units sold in shipments and digital sales in Asian regions.

DLC has already been announced for the highly anticipated fighter. This includes the addition of Chaos Bringer to the roster, though an already impressive road map has been released.

However, Marvelous has also issued a statement regarding the physical Premium Edition of Granblue Fantasy Versus. This version was going to be exclusive to Europe, but is now canceled due to time constraints and production delays. You can read Marvelous’ official statement from Marvelous Europe Limited PR & Community Manager Scott Emsen regarding the matter below.

In order to ensure a timely release of Granblue Fantasy: Versus we have made the difficult decision to cancel the physical Premium Edition. The reason for this cancellation is due to ongoing time constraints and production issues with the physical Premium Edition.

We know that a lot of Granblue Fantasy fans are eager for this physical Premium Edition and, as fans ourselves, it is with deep regret that we will not be able to produce this edition for Europe. We would like to apologise to those affected and we thank you for your continued support with Granblue Fantasy: Versus.

That being said, Granblue Fantasy Versus will still be available to purchase physically and digitally as a standard version, as well as digitally in its Premium Edition format. Both of these versions contain the 5 Character DLC Pack. However, if you’re interested in art books and soundtracks, the Premium Edition might be worth the extra dollars.

Granblue Fantasy is now available for the PlayStation 4 in Japan. The game will release in North America on March 3, 2020 and in Europe and Australia on March 27, 2020.
