Hideo Kojima Producing Sdatcher, A Radio Drama Inspired By Snatcher

Does anyone remember “Project S,” that mysterious collaboration Hideo Kojima and Suda 51 have been teasing for years now? Today, Kojima finally revealed what it is on his “Hideradio” podcast.

Project S is Sdatcher, a radio drama somehow connected to Snatcher, Kojima’s old cyberpunk adventure game on the MSX 2. Snatcher was eventually ported to the Sega CD in English. Sdatcher will be released as part the 300th Hideradio feature, although this doesn’t have a date yet.

Like the game it’s inspired by, Sdatcher will be directed by Kojima himself. Grasshopper Manufacture’s Suda 51 is penning the script, and Shadows of the Damned composer, Akira Yamaoka, is providing the music.

In addition to this collaboration, Kojima also has another mysterious project in the works in partnership with 5pb’s Chiyomaru Shikura.
