Recommended Videos

On December 13th, Level 5 released Yo-kai Watch 2: Headliner in Japan, and the game sold 1,244,171 million copies at retail in its first  week.

That’s fairly close to the number Yo-kai Watch 2: Head and Yo-kai Watch 2: Founder debuted at. Both those games were released back in July and sold a combined total of 1,316,707 copies in their first week.

Japanese sales tracker Media Create reports that Headliner sold through 84.77% of its shipment. Additionally, Media Create say that the game’s next shipment had already been delivered to retailers well in advance, which means Level 5 are being smart and ensuring stores don’t run out of stock.

According to some retailers, several customers have asked that stores keep the game in stock for Christmas, so the game will undoubtedly do very well over the next few weeks.
