Square Enix will host a special live stream in Japan on October 3, 2020, to commemorate the 26th anniversary of Live A Live.
During the anniversary live stream, we’ll hear from the original creators of Live A Live, starting with director Takashi Tokita. Composer Yoko Shimomura who worked on its music will appear as a guest alongside battle director Nobuyuki Inoue and character artist Kazuyuki Kurashima. Longtime Live A Live fan and comedian Nobuo of Penguins will also appear as a guest.
Furthermore, Square Enix is preparing some kind of surprise for the event that fans can look forward to. Stay tuned for more info when the live stream takes place this Saturday.
The 1994 Super Famicom title, Live A Live, has never released outside of Japan, but this could possibly change in the future, as Square Enix filed trademarks for the title in Australia, Europe, and the US in July.
Live A Live released for the Super Famicom in Japan in September 1994. The game re-released in Japan through Nintendo’s Virtual Console for Wii U in June 2015.
