If you looked at this week’s Japanese software sales chart, you probably know that Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity released last week and debuted at the top of the top-20 sales chart with 206,654 units sold in its first week.
While Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity was the top-selling game for the week, sales tracker Media-Create report that it only sold through 56.55% of its initial shipment, which they feel is a little slow, considering the original Phantasy Star Portable 2 sold through 76.48% of its own shipment in its first week when it released last year.
Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity is an upgraded version of Phantasy Star Portable 2 with features such as new race designs, story content, quests and items, and even a tie-up with KFC in the form of Colonel Sanders making an appearance as a partner character.
