NIS America is running a contest through Woobox where entrants receive a chance to have their name entered into the random name generator of Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny’s character creation menu for the Switch. Another option includes the ability to have a name entered into the pool of randomly generated enemy names.
The contest allows people who are 18 years of age or older to write in alphanumeric names up to fifteen characters long, so long as they aren’t references to real persons, characters, or brands. Entrants also have to be residents of either the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec). The contest will yield four winners, one for each of the four categories. The categories are: humanoid male, humanoid female, monster male, monster female.
Disgaea is a humorous tactical RPG series that debuted for PlayStation 2 in 2003. Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny will feature a story of a reincarnating zombie boy named Zed who defeated the God of Destruction.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny also adds a customizable auto-battle option, the ability to increase gameplay speed by up to 2x, and other quality of life changes. Additionally, the game will contain a host of new and returning features, some of which were showcased in a recently released trailer.
The Names of the Netherworld Contest is set to run from November 26 through December 24, 2020. Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is planned to release in North America and Europe on the Nintendo Switch in Summer of 2021.
