Bandai Namco, Disney, and Square Enix announced a new Kingdom Hearts figure in the Grandista line of Sora that is based on the original game and his look when the series started. It will begin showing up in Japanese arcades on September 25, 2026. There’s no worldwide release date yet, but we’ve eventually seen all Grandista figures including ones based on games like Mega Man show up on the Banpresto Amazon storefront for between $30-50 eventually.
Since this is a classic take on Sora, he’s wearing his red one-piece outfit with blue belt and a zippered blue and white hoodie with short sleeves. He also has his original big, yellow shoes on. His right hand is on top of the original Kingdom Key Keyblade. That also has an actual metal chain on it with the Mickey Mouse head logo at the end. While this is only a prize figure, it will still be a rather substantial one and stand at about nine and a half inches tall (24cm).

To compare, the latest D23 2026 trailer and June 2026 Nintendo Direct segment highlighted how Sora’s appearance changed since then and how he’ll appear in the Quadratum and Coco worlds.
The Kingdom Hearts Grandista figure of Sora will debut in Japan on September 25, 2026, and we should see it worldwide after. The original game debuted on the PS2, then later showed up on the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and PC via the HD 1.5 Remix collection. That version will appear on the Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X on October 8, 2026. A cloud-based version of the first game was also available on the Switch, but has since been delisted.
