New Samurai Maiden Character Trailer Stars Iyo

D3 Publisher shared a new Samurai Maiden character trailer focusing on Iyo, kicking off a line of videos focusing on the cast. Iyo is a Nobunago ninja. She’s dedicated to Tsumugi’s cause and safety. In the video, she’s shown throwing kunai, tossing bombs, and sharing a moment with Tsumugi so she can unleash an incredible attack.

Here’s the trailer showing off Iyo in Samurai Maiden. It also offers an opportunity to hear Miku Ito’s performance as the character. Ito also played Lorraine Lucksaw in The Diofield Chronicle and Miku Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets. She’ll be Akina Kubo in Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible’s anime adaptation too.

Other trailers tended to focus on either Tsumugi, the heroine teleported into the past and declared the Priestess of Harmony, or general gameplay. For example, the 2022 Tokyo Game Show video ended up going over the time period in which the game is set. While it did show gameplay, it also discussed other historical elements.

However, one other recent trailer discussed another element of the game: DLC. It showed that the Deluxe Edition will also offer Tsumugi’s Luminous Eliminator weapon, her Sengoku Samurai Girl costume, the Victory Swimsuit character costumes, and the Matching Uniform costumes for the cast.

Samurai Maiden will come to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 on December 1, 2022 in Japan and on December 8, 2022 worldwide. The PC version will show up on Steam worldwide on December 8, 2022.
