In World of Demons, players follow a samurai attempting to save the world from yokai. Throughout its development, PlatinumGames showed off its distinctive ukiyo-e style design. It can be played with or without a controller.

Here’s the launch trailer for the game.

PlatinumGames first announced it was working on World of Demons back in April 2018. At the time, it was set to come to both Android and Apple iOS devices. A soft launch occurred in Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore in 2018, though at the time it had in-app purchases. (Apple Arcade games do not have any additional purchases.)

This is one of multiple Apple Arcade games to suddenly appear on April 2, 2021. Mistwalker’s Fantasian shadowdropped on the service in Japan. It is now available worldwide as well.

World of Demons is now available on Apple iOS devices, like iPad and Apple TV, worldwide for Apple Arcade subscribers. Apple Arcade costs $4.99 per month, though newcomers to the service get a free one month trial.
