PlayStation 4 Shipments Reach 108.9 Million Globally

Sony has shipped 108.9 million PlayStation 4 consoles globally as of December 31st, 2019, the company has announced as part of its latest financial results briefing.

In terms of software, Sony has sold 81.1 million units of software during its third quarter. The company points out that digital software sales are on the rise, as full game downloads accounted for 49% of that figure, up from 37% the previous fiscal year.

Additionally, Sony revealed that it has 38.8 million PlayStation Plus subscribers in total as of December 31st, 2019. That’s a growth of 2.5 million subscribers over the year prior.
