Earlier this month, Capcom revealed that the online multiplayer mode for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Wii U would be region locked, meaning that American players would only be able to play with other Americans and Europeans with other Europeans. Thanks to community feedback, this limitation is being removed.
Sometime during April, a month after the game launches, Capcom will release an update patch for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on Wii U. This update will allow North American and European players to play together, and will also add off-TV play to the game, which will let you play on the Wii U GamePad without a TV.
As previously reported, Capcom also have plans to release free downloadable quests for the game post-launch.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be released on March 19th in North America and March 22nd in Europe for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
