Among the announcements at the 2nd Japan Fighting Game Publisher Roundtable stream, SNK revealed the release date for the Samurai Shodown Cham Cham DLC. The news comes from a trailer showing off her feral fighting style. Cham Cham will launch as part of the game’s third season pass on March 16, 2021. Players can purchase the Season Pass for $19.99 or individual characters for $5.99.
Samurai Shodown will also receive a balance patch on the same date as Cham Cham’s release. Players will soon be able to Guard Crush their enemies in addition to minor balance tweaks and improvements. The below trailer shows Cham Cham’s wild attacks inspired by her bold and playful personality.
Hailing from the fictional Mesoamerican village of Green Hell, the fan-favorite fighter Cham Cham’s release will kick off Samurai Shodown‘s latest season pass. Additionally, we recently heard the final fighter in the expansion will be a crossover character from Guilty Gear. Following Cham Cham, SNK will release Hibiki Takane as the second DLC character. The third fighter is still a complete mystery.
Samurai Shodown is available now for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, and PC. Cham Cham will release as the first character in the third Season Pass on March 16, 2021.
