Sega Genesis Mini’s Next 10 Games Includes Earthworm Jim And Shinobi III




Right on the heels of the next 10 games for the Sega Mega Drive Mini in Japan, another batch for the western version of the plug-and-play system has been revealed. The Sega Genesis Mini’s next collection of games has some titles in common with the Japanese version, like Landstalker, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Streets of Rage 2. However, it also includes some exclusives like Earthworm Jim and Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master.

Here is the full list of the next 10 Sega Genesis Mini games that will appear on the system.

  • Contra: Hard Corps
  • Earthworm Jim
  • Landstalker
  • Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 2
  • Streets of Rage 2
  • Super Fantasy Zone
  • Thunder Force III
  • World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck


We are seeing more differences between the game lineups with this latest batch. Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, Earthworm Jim, Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja, and Sonic the Hedgehog II were revealed here, while Dyna Brothers 2: Sega Channel Special, Game no Kanzume Otokuyo, The Hybrid Front, and MUSHA were announced for Japan. (Sonic the Hedgehog II is a part of the Mega Drive Mini and was revealed in its first batch of ten games.)

    The Sega Genesis Mini/Mega Drive Mini will be released on September 19, 2019 worldwide.
