Now this is a real treat for Yakuza fans that were concerned last year about Yakuza 3 not making it over to the West. SEGA Europe just announced a "premium edition" to help promote the game when it releases on March 12. Here’s what it contains:
• 4 pieces of DLC
1. Battle for Survival – Take on all the bosses of Yakuza 3 as Kazuma
2. All-Star Tournament (7 character tournament)
3. All-Star Tag Tournament (8 team tournament)
4. Haruka’s Request – This unique series of challenge missions will send you on a task of exploration throughout the entire Yakuza world, playing mini-games and entertaining Haruka.
• 31 track soundtrack
• Yakuza Who’s Who – learn how all the characters are connected and who turned from rivals to allies in this fully animated guide
In addition, pre-orderers get exclusive in-game costumes and two player mini-games like pool, golf, darts and bowling. No artbook, unfortunately, but a soundtrack and character guide aren’t too shabby, considering we weren’t even sure if the game would be localized a few months ago.
The four pieces of DLC will be given out as a pre-order bonus in North America. Reserve Yakuza 3 at Gamestop and you also get a challenge pack which contains the two player mini-games plus four costumes for Kazuma, Haruka, and Rikiya.
