Super Robot Wars 30 is getting a free content update featuring Gilliam Yeager and his Gespenst powered suit. Bandai Namco will release the free update on November 17, 2021, alongside early access to the first round of DLC. Furthermore, the first DLC pack is set to release on November 19, 2021.

The Gespenst was originally introduced in Hero Senki: Project Olympus and has been a prominent mainstay in the Super Robot Wars series. Players can acquire Gilliam and his Gespenst by completing a special area mission. The special area mission will unlock once players have completed four area missions in either the Far East Region Ominato or L3 Colony Elion starting areas. Similarly, players can also unlock a “Congratulation 30th” special anniversary area mission. Completing the anniversary mission will reward players with a powerful part that boosts damage output.

You can get a better look at the character and unit in the screenshots below.

Additionally, the first area mission of the upcoming DLC 1 Pack will be available to play for free. However, if players do not own the DLC pack, they will be unable to acquire the new suit and pilot. Furthermore, the game’s default soundtrack will replace the music that plays during the first DLC mission.

Bandai Namco will release two DLC packs this year, each featuring collaborations with other popular mecha franchises. The first DLC pack will include suits and characters from the Sakura Wars series as well as Mobile Suit Gundam: Beltorchika’s Children. The second DLC pack releasing in December will add units from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans and Ultraman.

Gespenst will be available in Super Robot Wars 30 starting November 17, 2021, at 8 AM JST. Early access for the first DLC will start on the same day, and will officially launch later on November 19, 2021.
