Bandai Namco has been going all out with trailers for the latest Sword Art Online game, giving people a chance to really see what they’ll experience. Now, there’s a Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris story trailer to help set the stage. It explains Kirito and Eugeo’s initial quest to find Alice, while also taking some time to introduce the new heroine, Medina, too.

The video begins with the initial quest, which is based on the Sword Art Online: Alicization anime and light novel. That involves Kirito and Eugeo attempting to find a way to save their childhood friend, Alice. Since that part is a bit more familiar, it’s more of an overview and the trailer doesn’t get really detailed until the halfway mark. That’s when it brings up Medina, the new heroine, and her quest to restore her family’s honor.

Here’s the new Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris story trailer.

Past videos have gone over a number of different elements. Prior to the Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris story trailer, we saw ones focusing on the battle system, boss fights, the opening movie and theme song, avatar customization, and the return of characters like Leafa, Lisbeth, Silica, and Sinon

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris will appear on July 9, 2020 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Japan and on July 10, 2020 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in North America and Europe and PC worldwide.
