One of the staple gameplay features in the Monster Hunter series is the ability to forge new equipment by using materials obtained from natural resources and defeating monsters. Each crafted part will come with its own set of enhancement skills, elemental affinities when taking certain damages, and of course, a unique design.

This new video also shows how the newly crafted gear will be available for not only your Hunter character and the returning Palico but also the new Palamute companion that makes its debut in Monster Hunter Rise.

Aknosom, which is also known in Japan as Akenoshirumu, is one of the brand-new monsters added to Monster Hunter Rise that have been featured extensively by Capcom. Other than the monster gear, you can also check out the gameplay footage against the monster and its concept art.

Monster Hunter Rise will be released simultaneously worldwide on the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021.
