The time has come. Thanks to the September 29, 2020 Pokemon presentation, we have The Crown Tundra release date. People will be head into the second expansion on October 22, 2020. As a reminder, since it isn’t available alone, you will have to buy either the Pokemon Sword or Shield $29.99 Expansion Pass to gain access to it and Isle of Armor.
As with the previous Pokemon Sword and Shield expansion, The Crown Tundra gives people a whole new location to visit. This was teased as recently as September 15, 2020, with a brief video. There’s a new, rabbit-like legendary called Calyrex. The original Pokemon’s three legendary birds have Galarian forms. There will also be some new titans joining the line that includes Regirock and Registeel. Naturally, about 100 normal Pokemon will also reappear.
Previously, the Isle of Armor introduced a similar array of new characters and activities. People got a new rival and a new person to look up to, Mustard. It introduced characters like Urshifu, new Gigantamax forms for the original Pokemon starters, and new forms of Slowpoke. Even following Pokemon who will walk behind your character returned.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are immediately available for the Nintendo Switch. So is the initial expansion, Isle of Armor. The Crown Tundra release date is October 22, 2020.
