It’s a big day for Nintendo Switch JRPG fans. Another huge entry is headed to people, and it could end up taking up about 70-80 hours of your life. A The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III Switch port has launched everywhere. As usual, NIS America is celebrating with a new launch trailer looking at footage from the game and setting the stage.
This is especially important for the Trails of Cold Steel III Switch port for one major reason: it’s now the only entry on the system. The previous two games, which went over Rean’s adventures with the original Class VII, didn’t appear on the console. The launch trailer begins by establishing the students of Thors Military Academy as being notable warriors capable of taking part in critical battles. We then see old and new students unleashing their power in big fights, hoping to establish some sort of scale for newcomers. It then hints at why this might be an okay starting place, as it is the beginning of a new Class VII’s story.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, ad PC. This series’ story will end with Trails of Cold Steel IV on October 27, 2020 on the PlayStation 4 outside of Japan, with Nintendo Switch and PC ports following after.
