CD Projekt Red  have announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for simultaneous release in 2014 on PC and “all high-end platforms”. Wild Hunt will be the studio’s final Witcher game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will feature an open-world that is 30 times larger than The Witcher 2 says CD Projekt Red studio head, Adam Badowski. Each region will consist of its own population with different customs, stories and problems.

"Imagine playing a dark fantasy game with the same great non-linear story as in the previous Witcher titles, but now told in a world you can explore freely with no artificial boundaries," Badowski says. "The war-ravaged world is so huge that to reach farther places you will need to ride a horse or sail a boat to get there."

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is being designed using CD Projekt Red’s new REDEngine 3 technology. The game will feature no quick-time events, an improved battle system, and a non-linear story with choice like the previous Witcher games. The game’s story will involve Geralt trying to save his loved ones.
