Last week was another slow period for new videogame releases in Japan. Square Enix’s Dragon Quest VII remake for the Nintendo 3DS remained at the #1 spot, followed by Animal Crossing: New Leaf at #2. Meanwhile, Level 5’s life-simulation RPG, Fantasy Life, continues to sell, and is now over 230,000 copies sold in Japan. Fantasy Life is the first major success for a brand new Level 5 game in quite some time. The top-20 chart for the week was as follows:
