Golden Week ended today in Japan. Since Golden Week kicks off on April 29th every year, this week’s sales chart for the week of April 25th – May 1st included three of the seven days days of the Japanese holiday.
To kick things off, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 saw a rather significant boost in sales from last week, jumping back to the top of the sales chart.
At the #2 position was Tale of the Last Promise, Imageepoch’s dungeon crawler RPG, and also their very first self-published game. Imageepoch president, Ryoei Mikage, hopes to ultimately sell 150,000 copies of the game. Following very closely behind it was El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron on PlayStation 3. Not far behind El Shaddai was Patapon 3 for the PSP.
