Last week’s best-seller was The 2nd Super Robot Taisen OG, Namco Bandai’s latest mecha crossover game for the PlayStation 3. The 2nd Super Robot Taisen OG sold 217,710 copies in its first week.

At #2 was Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, which sold 128,856 copies in its first week. Initially announced way back in 2010, the game was finally released last week, following a long period of silence, which was broken around the time of the Tokyo Game Show this year.

We’ll have to wait and see if sales tracker, Media Create, provide any sell-through figures for the game later in the week. Until then, let’s hold off on further judgment.

Next week’s sales column will feature the Wii U launch, giving us an idea of how Nintendo’s new console did in its first week on Japanese store shelves. How will it do? We’ll find out soon enough.
