Top-seller: Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 – 272,036
Nintendo 3DS sales: 53,540 | Total sales: 2,017,645
Sports and idols were the big sellers in Japan last week. Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 topped the software sales chart, followed closely by AKB1/48: I Fell in Love With an Idol in Guam at the #2 spot.
Sales figures took a dip at #3, with F1 2011 far behind both of those games. Id Software’s Rage was published in Japan last week, too, and sold 11,000 copies on the PlayStation 3 and close to another 8,000 on the Xbox 360. At the lower end of the chart were Makai Kingdom Portable at #16 and God of War Origins Collection at #20.
In hardware news, the Nintendo 3DS finally broke the 2-million-sold mark in Japan and maintained another week of more or less steady sales, thanks to anticipation of the upcoming flood of popular games, beginning next month. Additionally, this month will see the release of the pink Nintendo 3DS.
