When Does Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 2 Appear?

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is here! After a three-month hiatus from April to August 2023, the Boruto manga returned with a second part. Since chapter 1’s release in August 2023, we’ve been Boruto-less for weeks. It’s been a slow start, evidently, as mangaka Masashi Kishimoto and artist/illustrator Mikio Ikemoto attempt to pick up where they left off. Fortunately, September brings with it Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 2.

When does Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 2 release?

As confirmed by Viz Media and MangaPlus, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 2 will be published on September 20, 2023. It will debut at 7am PT and 10am ET. That means we have a full month gap between new chapters.

Starting off with a time skip, as is Naruto tradition, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex picks up three years after Boruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha went on the run from Konohagakure. Genin rank Sarada Uchiha gets into another argument with Eighth Hokage Shikamaru Nara about Boruto’s innocence. When this goes nowhere, Sarada reminds Shikamaru that her role model was Naruto Uzumaki, not him. The upcoming chapter of Two Blue Vortex will feature a three-way battle between Boruto, Kawaki, and Code.

Unfortunately, we will have to get used to this schedule, as Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga chapters are confirmed to be released on a monthly basis. Specifically, they will appear between the 18th and 21st of every month.

The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga is available physically via Viz Media, and the anime is on Crunchyroll.
