During E3 2019, there were a number of updates regarding Shenmue III’s PC release. The game’s E3 trailer only had an Epic Games Store logo at the end of it, leading to the confirmation that it would be a timed exclusive before getting a Steam release. Now, a Kickstarter update from Ys Net and Deep Silver suggests the developer and publisher may eventually have more to say about the Shenmue III Epic Games Store situation.

The brief update noted that Ys Net and Deep Silver are now going to talk about the exclusivity arrangement, in the hopes of making sure Shenmue III Kickstarter backers are satisfied. Here is the full statement.

Hello Everyone,

We want to make sure that the Backers are aware that we are listening to their concerns. We kindly ask all our fans to have some patience, we are currently at E3 demoing the game and need to get back to our respective offices to assess the situation and together find a way forward to justify the trust you placed in us.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Shenmue III will come to the PlayStation 4 and PC on November 19, 2019.
