The narrative-focused strategy game was developed by Vanillaware and released in November 2019 on the PlayStation 4. By January 2020, it had shipped 100,000 units, which means it has moved another 30,000 units in the last three months.

Sales of 13 Sentinels are much lower than those of Vanillaware’s previous game, Dragon’s Crown, which shipped over 300,000 units in its first week in Japan, and went on to ship over 1 million units worldwide. That game was a multiplayer action-RPG released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in 2013.

Atlus has not yet announced a release date for 13 Sentinels: Aigis Rim in North America and Europe.
