Another more focused Nintendo Direct presentation for 2020 has been announced. An Animal Crossing Direct will occur on February 20, 2020. People can tune in at 6am PT/9am ET/3pm CET to learn more about Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Here’s the tweet announcing the Animal Crossing Direct presentation. People should make sure they have about a half an hour free to spend learning about what their new lives will be like on an island home with old and new friends.

Perhaps this Animal Crossing Direct will means a definitive answer to some questions about content. At one point, the ESRB rating for Animal Crossing: New Horizon had a notice saying “in-game purchases” would be present in the title. This indicator was later removed. It might also explain how the game will end up working with the Nintendo Switch Online app.
It has been quite some time since Nintendo had any news for followers. The last Direct-style presentation was the January 9, 2020 Pokemon Direct that revealed the Pokemon Sword and Shield expansion pass and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon remake. We also still haven’t gotten a general Nintendo Direct yet in 2020 (though people have been waiting).
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will come to the Nintendo Switch on March 20, 2020. An Animal Crossing Switch model is also on the way, but it will arrive ahead of the game on March 13, 2020. Japan will also be getting a kuji lottery with themed items inspired by this installment.
